How to Survive Mercury Retrograde
We are experiencing the second retrograde of this year.
The first one started on Jan 30th and lasted until Feb 20th. Then Mercury Retrograde started again May 29th and will be here until June 22nd. The last appearance will be in the Fall from September 27th until October 17th.

What is Mercury Retrograde?
First, you might be wondering what exactly is Mercury Retrograde and why does it freak everyone out?
Well, the scientific explanation is:
Due to the way Earth’s orbit interacts with the orbit of other planets, they sometimes seem to be traveling backward through the night sky. When really, this is just an optical illusion, which is known as apparent retrograde motion.
The planet Mercury has been known to be connected with communication, electronics, travel, information, and clear thinking.
The idea is that when Mercury is in Retrograde, things slow down in all of these areas. Electronics break, we lose things, relationships end, and schedules are thrown off.
These may all seem like awful things, especially since we live in a fast paced society where we are so focused on technology and communication is key in all relationships.
The good news is, there are a lot of benefits to Mercury Retrograde as well. I will list the benefits of retrograde after this list of Meditations to help you survive mercury retrograde.

It is hard to decide which of these Meditations for Mercury Retrograde are my favourite, so there is no particular order. Decide which ones you want to listen to by the length, and the description I have provided for each.
I recommend finding a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted so you can get the most from these Meditations.

I loved doing this meditation by Tera Keur Yoga. Be prepared to work on your Throat & Heart Chakras, as well as grounding. You will be focusing on “RE” words like Release, Reflection, Relax, Rewind, Remembering, etc.
2. Mercury Retrograde Guided Meditation
Have you been feeling anxious during this Retrograde? Try this 17 minute Meditation from Wild Spiral Arts. It will help restore some calm to your overactive brain. During this meditation she calls in your spiritual guides and you are encouraged to breath in peace and breath out tension.
3. Mini Meditation for Mercury Retrograde
Do you only have a few minutes? Are you needing to recenter yourself in the middle of your day? This less than 5 minute meditation is perfect for sneaking in a quick moment to hit that reset button. Amy Hedman has a very calm voice that will help you relax within seconds.
4. Mercury Retrograde Healing Meditation
If you are just looking for sounds to focus on without a guided voice, this Mercury Retrograde meditation from healii uses only binaural beats. This particular one is to help improve communication, find relaxation, and mental clarity.

Mercury Retrograde Benefits
Even though you may feel like your entire world is in disarray, it isn’t all bad luck. Usually any harsh side effects are meant to happen for the better, even if you don’t see it that way right now.
This is the Universe’s way of forcing us to review, recheck, and revisit. It isn’t a time to start something new. It is a time to slow down and rebalance things in your life. This could be anything from your health, your career, or your love life.
So how can you get it to work for you instead of against you?
Start by taking a deep breath and know that it isn’t the end of the world. It may cause inconvenience in your life, but it doesn’t mean it is unmanageable.
One of the biggest benefits of Mercury Retrograde are how it can be a great time for creativity and connections. It will better on the other side of this period if you let go and allow yourself to go with the flow.
